Performing arts workshops and tuition

Our performing arts programme in Spain is centred in Platja D'Aro where we use good quality rooms and studios with sprung floors and mirrored walls for our workshops. A personalised programme will be created by our resort team to suit your objectives and we can provide professional dance and drama tutors if required for mask making, street theatre, circus skills, rhythm work, song school and improvisation, Flamenco dancing - art groups can draw inspiration from the home of Picasso, Dali and Miro!

Rehearse a dance routine and enter your performing arts group into the procession and the fun of the Carnival! Groups are welcome from visiting countries and it is a great opportunity to interact with other cultures - or your group might prefer just to come and watch.

This is the 30th year of one of the most famous carnivals on the Costa Brava, offering music, fun and frivolity. The most important days are: The 11th of February (Fancy dress), 15th of February (Mardi Gras), 17th of  February (Float Procession) and the 21st of February (Burying the Sardine).   To view the Carnival PDF please click here.

This tour can easily be adapted to include workshops and/or professional tuition and sites to suit your group, mixed with general meditteranean culture, Cadaques fishing village, Figueres market and a vineyard visit. Choice of Accommodation

Personalised workshops can be created to include a variety of music, dance or drama techniques - these will mostly take place at the nearby Sports and Leisure Club - or out and about in the local area for art and music if you prefer. The Club has 3 studios ideal for performing arts workshops, and also has a swimming pool to round off the session! (See below for some sample tours)

Hotel La Terrassa

A popular, modern 3-starl hotel in the pretty resort of Platja d'Aro, only 150 m from the beautiful 3-mile long sandy beach and within easy walking distance of cafes, restaurants and many amentities. Situated next door to its sister hotel The S'Agoita (below) guests can use the facilities of both hotels. Just 90 mins from Barcelona .

Bedrooms sleep 2 - 3 people and have ensuite bathroom, satellite TV, air conditionaing/heatig, safety deposit boxes and balcony. Hotel S'Agoita

Hotel S’Agoita is a popular and student-friendly 3 star hotel situated in the pretty seaside resort of Platja d’Aro with excellent performing art facilities, just 150m from the beach. The S'Agoita is right next door to its sister hotel - La Terrassa (above) and guests can use the facilities of both hotels.

Bedrooms sleep 2 - 4 people and each has an ensuite bathroom, staellite TV, safety deposit box, balcony and air conditioning/heating. The Hotel has a 24hr reception, restaurant, bar, TV room, and swimming pool. Hotel Sant Jordi

The Hotel Sant Jordi is near Pineda de Mar and consists of 5 floors, with 5 singles and 158 double rooms. Guests are offered use of a lobby with a reception (open from 8am-11pm), a TV room, a lift, a bar, a café and an air-conditioned restaurant. Swimming pool, snack bar, sun loungers and parasols.

Olympic Park Hotel
