Sample Itinerary for Canada School Rugby Tours
Day 1 Depart UK, Arrive in Toronto
Depart from UK airport and travel to Toronto Airport. On arrival you will be met by a member of the Activ4 Canada team who will assist with the coach transfer and check in at your accommodation at University of Toronto Summer Residence. This evening you will have dinner and then settle in to the hotel after your journey.
Day 2 Tour of Toronto
After breakfast this morning the trip will get started with a sightseeing tour of Toronto. While on this tour you will see the CN Tower, at 553 meters the second tallest freestanding structure in the world. In the afternoon the group will have their first training session returning back to the hotel for the evening meal. Tonight your group can get together for a quiz night.
Day 3 Wonderland trip
After breakfast this morning the tour will take you to Canada’s Wonderland, with over 60 rides with the greatest variety of roller coasters in North America. This evening you will have your first fixture followed by dinner back at the hotel. Fixtures are often the highlight of the tour and offer a friendly welcome and a competitive game.
Day 4 Niagara Falls Experience
Departing this morning for a full day sightseeing excursion to Niagara Falls with a local guide. You will also get to go on the Hornblower boat cruise, Followed by some great photo opportunities and souvenir shopping. Return in the late afternoon back to Toronto for the group to have their second training sessions that evening.
Day 5 Rugby Fixture
A leisurely breakfast is taken this morning and some relaxation is taken today, giving you some free time. This evening will see the second tour game against Canadian opposition and following this your party will return to the hotel for dinner.
Day 6 Ghosts and Ottawa
This morning head to Ottawa, the Capital of Ontario. In the afternoon it’s time for a training session ready for your final game. . Dinner will be taken in the hotel (Days Inn Ottawa) followed by a ghost walk. Are you brave enough to enter the Old Carleton County Jail, one of the most haunted buildings in North America?
Day 7 Final fixture
Today see the beautiful region of Ottawa-Gatineau by land and water on the Amphibus, a bus that transforms into a boat. A unique historical adventure awaits you, Dinner will be taken in the hotel followed by the final fixture where you will hopefully return triumphant. On the final night it has become a tradition for touring teams to hold an awards ceremony
Day 8 Departure Day
Sadly its departure day, after breakfast check out of the rooms and according to your flight plan to the UK you will be transferred to Toronto Airport to embark on the journey home. All good things must come to an end but the sights and sound of Canada and the people you have met will live long in the memory…
