Krakow Poland School Education Trips

Krakow is one of the most famous cities in world history.

Having survived World War II and kept its medieval core and Jewish quarter, Krakow is full of cultural experiences for your students. We choose our excursions to support a cross curriculum trip for history and religious studies.

We choose our excursions to support a cross curriculum trip for history and religious studies.

Poland Education School Trips highlights include:

  • Full day sightseeing of Krakow and the Kazimierz District
  • Visit to Schindler’s Factory, Remuh and Stara synagogues
  • Half day sightseeing of Auschwitz and Birkenau camps

One of the most popular excursions is a sightseeing tour of Auschwitz and Birkanau camps. The first part of this tour covers the exhibition in the prisoner blocks in Auschwitz I – Stammlager (the original camp): the death block, the wall of death and the only surviving gas chamber and crematorium. The second part of the tour, Auschwitz II – Birkenau, explores the site of the mass extermination of the Jews, with the preserved prisoners’ barracks, the ruins of the gas chambers and crematoria and the monument commemorating the victims of the camp.

At Activ4 school tours we want students to get the most out of their trips. One way we do this is by including workshops at the Auschwitz museum which cover a range of topics. You can choose topics such as children and young people in Auschwitz or Archival Documents as Evidence of Crime (The Structure of KL Auschwitz Camp Administration) as well as many more. If you would like to know more about workshops on these trips get in touch with our sales team today.

Alternatively hear the stories told by an elderly individual of their experiences within Krakow. With a witness meeting taken place in Galicia Jewish Museum. For many students this has the greatest effect on them and something they will remember forever.

If you’re wondering about what you can do of an evening why not have a traditional Polish night with local cuisine and music. Students may try the traditional cuisine of pierogi, a dumpling that can be filled with anything from sweet sauces and fruit to boiled potatoes and cheese.
