You may choose to go to the town of Arromanches-Les-Bains for the 360 Cinema located on the Arromanches cliff tops, helping students to relive the battle of Normandy. Students will watch the ‘Normandy’s 100 Days’ on the highest definition panoramic screens and learn about the D-Day landings, with footage gathered from various countries’.

Ver-sur-Mer
The Activ4 school tours stay at the UNCMT center, “La Bambiniere” which is ideally located 300m from the beach. It is located in Ver-sur-Mer, a small coastal village located on the site of the British Landing sector, Gold Beach.
It is also 8 km from Arromanches, 4.5 km from Asnelles, putting your group in a prime location.
Sample Itinerary for Normandy France School Education Trips
Day 1 Depart the UK, Arrive in Normandy
Depart from school and travel to Dover Ferry port where you will check-in for your crossing. Once in Calais your group will make the journey to Ver Sur Mer, Ver-sur-Mer in the Calvados department of Normandy, stopping at the picturesque port of Honfleur. Then travel on to your destination La Bambiniere in Ver -sur- Mer where you will enjoy dinner.
Day 2 360 Cinema, Point du Hoc, Bayeux
This morning you will travel to Arromanches-les-Bins for the 360Cinema before heading to the Overlord Museum which chronicles the period of the Allied landing until the liberation of Paris and provides access to the American Cemetery at Colleville-sur-Mar. Then it is on to the see the landing beaches from Point du Hoc before visiting Bayeux and its famous Bayeux Tapestry and war cemetery.
Day 3 Conseulles de Mer, Mont St Michel
Today you will visit the market at Conseulles de Mer, before heading off for a full day in Mont St Michel. A magical island topped by a gravity-defying medieval monastery. For centuries one of Europe’s major pilgrimage destinations, this holy mount is now a UNESCO World Heritage Site, as is its breathtaking bay. Then it is back to La Bambiniere for dinner.
Day 4 Boulangerie Les Co-Pain, Ferry back to the UK
Unfortunately all good things come to an end and today you return home. On the journey back to Calais your group will visit the Boulangerie Les Co-Pains where the baking of organic bread has become an art form, taking account of social awareness and environmental issues. Then it is on to Calais and across the English Channel for the last leg of your journey.
