Sample Itinerary for Portugal School Cricket Tours

Day 1 Arrival

On arrival you will be transferred to the Hotel Praia Mar Carcavelos in Cascais situated on the Estoril Coast, just 20mins drive from Lisbon. Groups can taste authentic Portuguese cuisine as well as international dishes at the buffet dinner after the days travel.

Day 2 First of the Fixtures

Training will be done in the morning. Fixtures are usually played during the evening with local club teams. Fixtures are often the highlight of the tour and clubs are always delighted to play British sides and offer a friendly welcome and a competitive game, round off the evening with a quiz night at the hotel.

Day 3 Visit Lisbon

After breakfast you will visit one of Europe's most scenic capitals – Lisbon. You can opt for a behind the scenes tour of one of Lisbon's football stadiums, Estádio da Luz, and see the grounds through the eyes of great Benfica players. After dinner tonight could be just the opportunity for a walk to the beach for some beach games.

Day 4 Final Fixtures

In between training and coaching sessions, there are plenty of on-site facilities from indoor and outdoor pools, recovery ice-baths, fitness studios, a sand pitch for a training session, a spinning room; there’s even a cross country track depending on your approach to the day.

Day 5 Return to UK

Unfortunately all good things come to an end and today you return to the UK. After breakfast it’s time to check out of your hotel. Your coach will take you to the airport for the return flight home.
