Sample Itinerary for Sappada Italy School Ski Trip
Day 1 Depart for Dover
Your coach will depart and travel overnight bound for Italy. After a short Channel crossing the spectacular journey through France is framed by alpine views and majestic scenery.
Day 2 Arrive in Sappada
On arrival at the resort of Sappada, check in at The Villaggio Dolomitico. This self contained winter sports resort has been designed around the needs of school groups and has all the space and facilities that make a successful trip. The hotel has its own ski fit technicians so it will be off to the large ski fit locker to get everything sorted.
Day 3 First Day Skiing
This morning you will travel to the centre of Sappada to meet with the instructors. After a busy morning on the slopes it is back to the hotel for a hot lunch. Afternoon sessions will pick up where you left off. Tonight your group will be able to enjoy the large indoor pool, a sports centre, a gaming room and a wellness centre.
Day 4 Second Full day on the slopes
It’s your second full day on the slopes and hopefully you can remember all of the tips you got yesterday. If you get a chance, there is a pretty alpine bar right at the bottom of the Campetti nursery slopes where you can sit in the sun with a coffee. After lunch, it might be the ideal time to do the COL DEI MUGHI piste.
Day 5 Midweek but still skiing
It’s midway through the week and everyone is starting to find their own way around the resort. Enjoy another day of Alpine skiing in Sappada. The ideal tracks for beginners start with CAMPETTI, the broad area in the centre of town and a step away from NEVELANDIA, and continues with the new chairlift PIAN DEI NIDI, the “second step” for skiing beginners.
Day 6 Another Day in the snow
Head out again this morning to enjoy another day in the snow. It is not a coincidence that this vast mountain range has been part for several years of the World Natural Heritage. If you have the energy tonight why not enjoy letting some steam off in the sports hall.
Day 7 Last Day Skiing, Depart on Coach
Unfortunately all good things have to come to an end and today is your last day. However, you still have the opportunity to hit the slopes for a final day. After saying your good-bye’s on the mountain it’s back to the hotel. After dinner board the coach, tired but happy and ready to sleep all the way back the UK.
Day 8 Channel Crossing, Back to School
After a short Channel crossing you are back in England for the remainder of the journey back to school. The tour officially ends here but with a trip this good we are sure that it will live long in the memory.
