Kim Wakenshaw tells us why she thinks that Club Correze Watersport Centre France manages to please all of the people all of the time…
When you arrive at Club Correze Watersport Centre France, there is a real ‘home from home’ feel about the place.
Club Correze is a family business run by an English couple, Ged and Clare Glynn, who have built up the place over the last 25 years. It is immediately apparent that the care they have put into their Adventure Centre has resulted in is a safe and secure environment for children.
There were plenty of staff on site to help, and one thing in particular that I did like was the way that they the staff made the effort to learn both children and staff names. Just a small thing… but typical of the atmosphere that’s been created.
It is located in the South of France in a village called Meymac. This village is about an hour from Limoges airport and 12hrs from Calais port, it is very easy access to Paris too, and ideal for shopping trips on the way home!
Club Correze Watersport Centre France has comfortable hostel style accommodation which caters for up to 190 people. There are four buildings with dining and indoor facilities. Young guests sleep in bunk beds in small dormitories which hold between four and ten people with adjoining toilet and shower facilities.
Club Correze Watersport Centre France has a great deal to offer. They have so many activities on site to entertain everyone. I liked the way the children were busy from start to finish. The day would be split into water-sports and adventure, which meant that the children would get more out of their experience at Club Correze.
All activities are supervised by the Club Correze staff – Water-sports activities that are available are kayaking, sailing, boarding and canoeing. Adventure activities available are archery and rifle shooting, orienteering and ramble rambling.
Evening entertainment is provided by the staff at Club Correze Watersport Centre France, so teaching staff can sit back and enjoy the evening. There is a bar and a tuck shop on site and a local supermarket 2 minutes down the road.
