
Athens invites drama and performing arts students to immerse themselves in the world of classical theatre.
From hands-on mask-making to live performances of tragedy and comedy, this experience brings Aeschylus, Sophocles, Euripides and Aristophanes off the page and onto the stage.
Students will develop confidence, ensemble work and practical understanding of Greek theatrical traditions all while exploring one of the worlds most historic capitals.
Morning: Flight from UK airport and arrival in Athens. Meet your representative and transfer to the hotel.
Afternoon: Check in and enjoy a site orientation to familiarise with the hotel and the surrounding Plaka district.
Evening: Dinner at the hotel and time to unwind.
Morning: Breakfast at the hotel and free time at the hotel pool or nearby Plaka.
Afternoon: Lunch followed by a guided city tour of Athens, exploring highlights such as Syntagma Square, Monastiraki and views of the Acropolis.
Evening: Dinner at the hotel.
Morning: Breakfast at the hotel. Participate in a hands-on Mask-Making Workshop inspired by ancient Greek techniques.
Afternoon: Lunch, followed by Theatrical Performance: ATREIDES Ancient Pathos, with post-show discussion led by the Artistic Director and cast.
Evening: Dinner at the hotel.
Morning: Breakfast at the hotel. Enjoy Theatrical Performance: Make Love Not War, a lively approach to Aristophanes comedy.
Afternoon: Lunch, followed by an Aristophanian Comedy Acting Workshop exploring chorus, characterisation and comedic techniques.
Evening: Dinner at the hotel and a Games Night.
Morning: Breakfast at the hotel and free time (subject to flight times).
Afternoon: Transfer to Athens Airport for the return flight to the UK.
Evening: Arrival back at school.
