When we visit ski resorts to ensure the suitability for our clients there are some that really stand out. Subsequently these are the obvious choices for us to offer to school groups and because we’ve checked them out in advance it takes so much pressure off the ski trip organiser from the outset.
Ask anyone who has been and they will tell you that skiing & snowboarding in the USA is a completely unique and different experience to the annual European Tour and one decision you won’t regret taking.
A Different World
The first thing that strikes you en route to Sunday River Ski is the landscape. As you drive the short three hour transfer from Boston you’re immediately exposed to sights you might only have seen in the films. Quaint little Mills and lodges spread sparingly over vast landscapes and dense forests. One might almost feel like you’ve gone back in time whilst your students keep an eager eye out for a passing Moose and her calves in their natural environment.
As you pass through the sweet towns & villages of New England you’ll arrive in one of the largest ski resorts in Maine, although you’d never notice it given the capacity to accommodate such large numbers of visitors. You will notice this immediately as ski lift queues at peak periods are unheard of.
