It’s a busy programme for school trips to Lake Garda…
This has been fantastic week for our Activ4 school trips in Lake Garda. The Activ4 SportsFest over the Easter period has seen over 700 guests staying with us and enjoying all the sport, entertainment and camaraderie that has become such a rich feature of the Easter tournament break in Italy.
I was only able to get out for three or four days but I was struck with how much was going on. I went over to watch some of the netball coaching sessions which for a second year running have been delivered by the fabulous girls from North Wales Dragons. I love to see the girls from Wrexham making such an impact on everyone with their dynamic coaching sessions. Not to be outdone the football coaches have been making the Sommacampagna training centre come alive with top end delivery. Fair play, having forgotten to take sun cream on Monday they were looking a little red in the evening!
We have been trying to keep everyone up to date on Facebook and Twitter with results as they come in but the sheer volume has meant that it has been an uphill struggle. Steve Somerford has taken the mantle of our reporter in the field and has been taking some great snaps of the games as they happen.
Talking of Steve it seems that he got himself involved in the Huntcliff Girls Where’s Wally fancy dress night out! Good man Steve but how come you had an outfit? Do you always pack one just in case you need to dress up as, Where’s Wally? There again, Superman always had his with him…
So as we pass the mid-point for the Easter Festivals and look towards next week in Spain I can report back that the school trips to Lake Garda have been having an absolute ball (no pun intended).
