Set in the Carinthian Alps, just above the town of Spittal, Goldeck provides a stunning environment for school ski trips. Goldeck is one of the sunniest areas in Carinthia.
There are 35km of piste across the mountain which offers a surprisingly wide variety of skiing. There is a 50 ha Freeride area which the always proves a bonus. Goldeck has an excellent lifts system which keeps waiting to a minimum and there are 9 mountain restaurants. More advanced skiers can also enjoy the longest black run in the Alps, it’s a bit of a thigh burn but great fun!
As ever the standard of instruction in Austria is second to none and students always make excellent progress.

Away from the slopes, there are a number of tremendous hotels ranging from the ultra modern Camp Royal X with indoor heated pool, to traditional sole occupancy. Minimum 10 and maximum 20 minutes travel time to the slopes.
Evening activities are varied and can include, tobogganing, pizza night, ice skating, swimming and the usual favourites, quiz, movie and talent nights.
Disco night is very special on this trip, as we hire a proper night club in Spittal and all our schools attend. This is really a chance for the students to dress up and for the staff to throw some shapes!

If you are used to the huge but unattractive resorts in France, this may not be for you. However, if you are looking for the perfect environment for students to learn to ski and board, your search is over!
Depart from school and head to Dover where you will cross the channel to Calais travelling to the village of Seeboden in Austria.
The Camp RoyalX Hotel is located at the edge of Lake Millstätt and has easy access to all the facilities in the village. Built only a few years ago the accommodation is very modern and the facilities superb. On arrival the group will have time to explore the village and acclimatise themselves in the comfortable surroundings of the hotel.
Today you will take the short drive to the stunning ski resort of Goldeck where the team will be waiting at the ski rental shop. From here you will walk to the meeting point for ski school. Your packed lunches will be eaten on one of the restaurant terraces on the mountain. Return to the slopes and enjoy the rest of the day.
Head out for another full day of fun in the snow. The resort of Goldeck has 35km of beautiful tree lined piste to explore. As with all areas of activ4 programmes, evening entertainments will be carefully planned for your group and after the first day skiing you will settle down for a group quiz.
By now everyone will be starting to feel they are making good progress. Today might be the day for all the groups to meet up at the top of the mountain outside one of the restaurants and admire the stunning views of the Southern Alps. This evening you can round off your day with a movie night.
After a hectic week of intense lessons the students will be desperate to show you what they can do so head on up to the mountain! Tonight would be a great night for a fantastic Pizza at Pizzeria al Lago. Just a minute’s walk from the hotel, Ingrid will provide a warm welcome and typically excellent Italian Pizza.
The final days skiing! Often the best day as everyone has made fantastic progress! At the end of the day everyone will meet at ski school HQ and the instructors will present certificates and prizes. Unfortunately, all good things come to an end and after dinner you will set off on the coach journey home.
The tour officially ends when you get back to the UK, but with a trip this great we are sure that it will live long in the memory.
