Depart from school and head to Dover where you will cross the channel to Calais travelling overnight to the resort of Platja D’Aro.
Arrival at the Sant Jordi Aparthotel in the coastal resort of Platja D’Aro, Located 150m from the beach, Aparthotel Sant Jordi offers 167 guestrooms, a restaurant, bar/lounge and a poolside bar as well as a swimming pool. After a long day finish the evening with Quiz night.
After starting with a buffet breakfast, the mornings training can begin, followed by a local fixture in the afternoon. The Spanish fixture offers a friendly yet competitive fixture which offers a chance for your team to face international opposition, after a long day, relax with a game of bowling at D’Aro.
A day in Barcelona has something for everyone. Your group can opt to take a tour around Europe’s largest football stadium, the world famous Camp Nou. You will also get to visit the impressive Barcelona FC Football Museum, finish your time in Barcelona by heading to Las Ramblas for some shopping time. Back in Platja D’Aro this evening you can finish your day with a visit to Magic Park Amusements
Today you will spend the day at Portaventura Theme park. This amazing park offers plenty of exciting rides suitable for all. From the fastest roller coaster in Europe the thrill seeking ‘Furius Baco’ in the Mediterrània area, the ‘Dragon Khan’ roller coaster. There is plenty of fun filled action to keep you amused for the day.
Back to sport this morning, followed by a recovery session in the hotel swimming pool or the beach before your final fixture on the tour. On the final night it has become a tradition for the touring teams to hold an awards ceremony.
Unfortunately all good things come to an end. After breakfast it’s time to check out but there is just enough time for some last minute shopping, try Les Gallerias just off the high street, and lunch before you head out to start your journey to Calais.
On arrival in Calais you will set sail to Dover and travel back to school. The tour officially ends when you get back to the UK, but with a trip this great we are sure that it will live long in the memory.

Platja d’Aro is a modern, cosmopolitan town, neighbouring the elegant town of S’Agaró, in south east Girona. This fabulous beachside town also boasts a wonderful historic town centre, which has preserved its medieval charm. The area offers a fabulous holiday experience for school groups, with so much to offer: a beautiful natural setting, culture, leisure, sport and best of all, a delightful seafront location, with an impressive, endless beach, and idyllic little bays.

The hotel Caleta Palace plays host to our sports tour guests who always appreciate having a pool that opens up right out onto its own private little cove. The local sports facilities in the area are second to none and there is easy access into Barcelona and Port Aventura. Evening entertainment programmes are action packed with lots of activities literally on your doorstep.

The Sant Jordi is oceanfront accommodation in the cosmopolitan centre of Platja D’Aro which offers many high end shops as well as bowling and amusement activities. The hotel offers an outdoor pool and hot tub, along with an onsite supermarket. The hotel restaurant offers buffet style cuisine so even picky eaters can find something to enjoy.

Only a few hundred yards from Platja Gran beach and Platja D’Aro centre, the Platja Park is in a perfect location for your school group. The hotel offers spacious rooms with private bathrooms as well as an outdoor pool and a fitness centre. The food is buffet style so there is something for everyone.
