Students on our Food Technology school trips to Normandy will gain practical knowledge through hands-on workshops, factory tours, and market visits, all designed to support the Food Preparation and Nutrition curriculum with a focus on food science, sustainability, nutrition, and cultural understanding.
This trip brings theory to life as students see first-hand how traditional and modern food systems operate in France. Whether it’s discovering the science behind cheese-making at an organic farm, analysing the nutritional content of local produce, or exploring how cultural values shape food choices, each activity is designed to deepen understanding and spark curiosity. Alongside practical workshops like the cooking session with Les Toqués en Cuisine, students gain valuable insights into sustainability, career pathways, and the real-world application of classroom learning — all while enjoying the flavours and traditions of one of France’s most celebrated culinary regions.
