Where it’s held

Tignes Les Brevieres

We think that Brevieres gives Activ4 school ski groups the best of both worlds. The oldest and in our opinion the prettiest of the five villages that make up Tignes it is the picture postcard destination that everyone imagines when they think of a ski resort. New lift installations for the 2018/19 season have meant that access to the Espace Killy is even easier and skiers of all levels can enjoy all that this beautiful little village, dominated by its famous church spire, has to offer. We love it!

On the practical side, Tignes Les Brevieres has a tabac (selling English papers), a supermarket, six bars, seven restuarants, a post office with a cash machine a tourist office and even an ice driving circuit. The north facing runs back into the village means that they keep their snow through the season and two of the restaurants are at the bottom of the slopes so what a great place to sit and keep an eye out for everyone coming back into the village.

Sample Itinerary for Tignes and The Espace Killy France School Ski Trip

Day 1 Flight, Arrive in Les Brevieres

Depart from UK airport bound for Geneva Airport. Arrive in Geneva where you will be met by your Aciv4 School Tour Representative and transferred to your accommodation. Chalet Chardons Coeur des Brevieres is excellently located in the heart of Tignes Les Brévières with no more than a two-minute walk to any of the restaurants, ski-lifts, nursery slopes or other amenities.

Day 2 First day skiing

Your first day on the slopes is always a busy one, so your Activ4 School Tour Representative will be there to help. If your group didn’t arrive in time to get ski fit done last night then we will do it this morning before literally stepping right outside your doorstep to find your ski instructors for the first lessons of your holiday.

Day 3 Skiing, evening swim session

Enjoy breakfast before heading onto the slopes for your second full day in the snow. As a whole, the EspaceKilly ski area has become one of Europe’s premier ski resorts. With its varied ski terrain, easy ski access and excellent lift system, it offers something for everyone. After dinner this evening you opt to go swimming in the centre of Lac.

Day 4 Skiing the 78 lifts and Quiz night

It’s back to ski lessons for the students this morning. The rapid and steep lift system means you maximum skiing. With 78 lifts spread over Tignes and Val d’Isère combined can carry 149,425 skiers per hour! After dinner tonight you may want to finish the evening with a quiz night with your Representative.

Day 5 Ski like James Bond, Karaoke Night

As everyone gains in confidence on the snow, even beginners will be feeling like they own the mountain. Perhaps today you can venture up to L’Aiguille de Percee, otherwise known as the Eye of the Needle, which provided an iconic scene on the James Bond film A View to a Kill. For those with enough energy a karaoke night may be chosen.

Day 6 Final Day

Well all good things come to an end and this is your groups last day on the snow. It’s time to put into practice all those tips and instructions to show everyone just how much has been learned this week. It’s traditional to celebrate with a presentation night which can be held in the chalets large lounge area.

Day 7 Flight Home

Unfortunately all good things come to an end and today you return to the UK. You will board the coach for the transfer to the airport for your return flight. On the coach you can reflect on all the great times you have had but with a trip this great we are sure that it will live long in the memory.
